Hi, my name is Jim and I have a Gaylord's X2000 lid on my truck. You can call

me anytime toll free and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have

about the lid. But let me summarize why I think it is the best lid you can possibly

put on the back of your pickup.

NEW KEYLESS REMOTE on all X2000 is standard with single center key lock.

See item #5 Option.

Keyless Remote is an option on the Traditional lid and comes with single center key lock.

See item #5 Option.

Features:

1. Paint to match.

2. Undercover carpet to finish the underside nicely.

3. Battery operated dome light

4. Pull strap. Cover opens extra tall for complete bed access.

5. OPTION: Heavy duty dual locks. These locks are great. They have solid steel

shafts with heavy duty cams that come up under the inside lip of the

bedrail. When you turn the key the cam draws up pulling the bed and lid together.

It is a very strong secure system. Another thing I really like about these locks; I can

put the key in the lock blindfolded. The tip is round not flat, no need to line anything up.

6. Gas struts (shocks). I love this system. The struts are attached to the hinges at the

front of the bed. I can easily access my truck bed from the side of the truck. No struts

in the way.

7. Clamp on stainless steel scissor hinge. This is a very well engineered quick release

system. This hinge actually lifts the lid up as it pivots open. Another great benefit to the engineering is the geometry of this lid. I can open the lid with one finger and the lid glides closed, it doesn't slam shut. Take a look at the hinge below.

Is this hinge system great or what? See the black knob behind the strut mount, it is a

safety lock. Just spin it off and lift the lid off the truck. No need to remove the struts

first as they are attached to the hinge and will come off with the lid. You can also see

the finished underside of the lid.

Other manufacturers may offer what they call a clamp on system but have you ever

seen one. Do you like how clean this application is, or would you like an ugly steel

frame on top of all three sides of the bed rail. You know, kind of like the frame the

bed you sleep on sets on.

I challenge you to find a better lid for your pickup. The X2000 is an investment in a

vehicle that is likely to be one of the largest purchases you will make. Why put

something less than the best on it.

If you have questions about the X2000 or any other lid, please give me a call at 800-247-7125.
